Abstract
In animals on a normal Ca intake the muscle-Ca did not increase when either Ca or vit. D was increased. The muscular contractions of tetany in kittens were not preceded by any significant change in total muscle Ca. No consistent change in muscle Ca followed guanidine intoxication in rabbits despite the violent muscular contractions. With parathyroidectomized kittens, the muscle Ca did not vary consistently.
