Abstract
Substituted phenoxyacetic and phenoxybutyric acids stimulated growth of Aspergillus niger at low concentrations (10-6 [image]) and inhibited growth at higher concentrations (10-4 [image]). The inhibition of growth was paralleled by an inhibition of endogenous and mitochondrial respiration. The main site of inhibition appears to be at that part of the respiratory chain which involves ubiquinone. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
