Abstract
The thermal creep velocity and the thermophoretic force acting on prolate and oblate spheroids have been obtained. The results, which are of considerable interest in calculating the deposition rate of aerosols on cold surfaces, show that deviation from sphericity can have significant effects on thermophoretic behaviour and should be included in any quantitative study. Keywords
