Abstract
Based on spore characteristics, five species and one distinct form of Isoëtes occur in northeastern North America. Two of the taxa, I. echinospora Dur. And I. eatonii Dodge, are diploids with a chromosome count of 2n = 22; three, I. riparia Engelm., I. tuckermanii A. Br., and I. macrospora f. hieroglyphica (Eat.) Pfeiffer, are tetraploids (2n = 44); and one, I. macrospora Dur., is decaploid (2n = 110).This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
