Abstract
Phenylalanine and tyrosine are incorporated specifically into annuloline in Lolium multiflorum. Tyramine, cinnamic acid, p-coumaric acid, and caffeic acid are shown to be intermediates in the biosynthesis. Methylation is shown to occur late in the biosynthetic sequence. Keywords
