Acceptor Function of η2‐Bonded CS2 Ligands

Abstract
Withdrawal of charge from a central metal is accomplished better by η2‐bonded CS2 than by CO. This follows from the IR and 1H‐NMR spectra of complexes of type (1) (L = CO or PMe3), (2), and (3) (ar = hexamethylbenzene or mesitylene). equation image
