Abstract
Direct evidence of covalency effects on spin densities of the - antibonding orbital in ferromagnetic Cu has been observed by means of critical scattering of neutrons. The form factor observed was in good agreement with the one calculated based on linear combination of atomic orbital wave functions using covalency parameters determined by NMR.
