Abstract
Precrepuscular stridulation of Tettigonia viridissima occurs frequently in the field. In the laboratory it may be produced by a combination of high temperature in the light period and so low temperature during darkness that the activity is inhibited. This is explained by assuming that the sensitizing agent is accumulated and the fast sensitization at high temperature thus is able to reach the high threshold of release in light. Keywords
