Abstract
This review emphasizes primarily those studies in which acquisition or retention of learned responses is correlated with alterations in neuroanatomical or neurophysiological states. There are sections covering ablation studies (including neocortical lesions, sensory feedback and the conditioned response, rhinencephalic ablations, interhemispheric transfer, subcortical lesions and conditioning and interoceptive conditioning); electrical activity of the brain and learning (including conditioning the eeg, habituation, eeg correlates of learning); and stimulation of brain and learning (including electrical stimulation as the conditioned stimulus, and/or unconditioned stimulus). There are 208 references. Keywords
