Abstract
It is shown that a spin-0 boson which is described by the Kemmer-Duffin formalism can mediate weak interactions. In the low-momentum-transfer limit results are obtained which are equivalent to the ordinary Fermi interaction. Properties of this meson are discussed and the rates for some of its decay modes are calculated. These rates are, in general, much lower than the rates predicted by the usual spin-1 intermediate-meson model. Production amplitudes are also presented. Keywords
