Abstract
The absorption spectra of NaOH and mixtures of NaOH in NaNO3, in NaNO2 and in LiCl–KCl eutectic mixture have been observed. The shift in the band position for NaOH as the temperature is varied is explained on the basis of hydrogen bonding in the melt. Keywords
