Abstract
AQUEOUS humor dynamics deals with the movement of various components of the plasma into and out of the posterior and anterior chambers of the eye and with the forces that result from this movement. It is also concerned with the movement of substances that may be manufactured by the tissues of the eye. The problem of aqueous humor dynamics is complicated predominantly by the number of separate anatomic regions of the eye involved and by the fact that these regions are separated from the plasma by several barriers, each having different physiologic properties. Owing to the complexity of the subject, usually only one aspect has been investigated at a time. For example, separate studies have been performed on (1) the physical and chemical characteristics of the aqueous humor, (2) the dynamics of this fluid in the anterior chamber and (3) the dynamics of aqueous humor in the posterior chamber, or,
