The Ultrastructure of Spermatozoa of Aspidogaster Conchicola Baer, 1826 (Aspidogastridae, Trematoda)

Abstract
Due to their relatively uniform structure, knowledge of the morphology of spermatozoa can contribute towards determining the phylogenetic relations of different groups of Platyhelminthes. It is thus worth mentioning that the spermatozoa of Aspidogaster conchicola exhibit a great similarity to those which ROHDE described in 1971 for Multicotyle purvisi, which also belongs to the Aspidogastridae. An outline concer- ning the knowledge of spermatozoa of Platyhelmithes can be found in ROHDE'S publication.
