Abstract
A method of using rings on jaws of Nepthys for age determination is demonstrated. The jaws show many rings and the most prominent of them seem to be year rings. A material of Nephtys hombergi from the North Sea treated by this method showed the average length of the O group to be 4 cm, the I group: 7 cm and the II group: 9.5 cm.
