Abstract
The immunogenicity of larval Trichuris muris in Schofield strain albino mice has been studied using infections abbreviated by chemotherapy. When mice were exposed to an initial infection lasting from 7 to 14 days their immunity to reinfection increased progressively, but the immunity stimulated by abbreviated infections was less than that stimulated by uninterrupted immunizing infections which last for approximately 16–18 days. The immune response of mice to T. muris appears to be stimulated by, and effective against, larvae of all ages and does not show stage specificity. Keywords
