Abstract
Some of device applications of the Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-based electrostrictors are reviewed, including displacement transducers for controlling optical pathlength (sensitive AC interferometer, bistable optical device and deformable mirror), and mechanical position actuators (micro-angle adjusting device and servovalve flapper for controlling oil pressure). Keywords
