Abstract
The quantification of tissue hemoglobin oxygen saturation has great clinical significance either to predict per-term baby brain damage or other dysfunction due to abnormal hemoglobin saturation level. From our experiments we find out that the background absorption can affect the accuracy in calculating saturation of hemoglobin either the range or the value. Practically it is difficult to get the absolute value of background absorption so we try to use empirical approach to obtain this value. Our goal is to investigate the transferability of this empirical value from a small ground of population to general population and from piglets to man. Keywords
