Abstract
Studies of the emission spectra during thermoluminescence were analysed for various specimens of LiF:Ti and LiF:Mg;Ti. These suggest that the luminescence centre is a defect complex of Ti modified, in the Mg doped crystals, by Mg in various forms. The dependence of the TL peaks on dose and LET support the suggestion that the higher temperature peaks are complexes which trap more than one charge. Red emission is observed in Mg doped crystals. Keywords
