The Making of a Parasitologist

Abstract
A brief account of the origin of the American Society of Parasitologists, and of the development of parasitology in America, is followed by a consideration of the characteristics, education and experience necessary for the making of a parasitologist. It is concluded that practically no parasitologists have come up without a college degree, and that 85%, 10%, and 5%, respectively, have doctor''s, master''s and bachelor''s degrees.
