Abstract
The addition of tryptophan to a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) has been recommended for patients failing to respond to an MAOI alone. The authors report acute behavioral and neurologic toxicity immediately after tryptophan administration in a patient taking phenelzine.Keywords
