The double line of skin thickening on sonograms of the breast.

Abstract

Skin thickening is an important secondary sign of breast malignancy [in humans] that may not be apparent clinically. The sonographic appearance of skin thickening as delineated with a whole-breast water-bath real-time scanner is described. Ultrasound seems to be as accurate as mammography in detecting thickened skin.
