Use of Polarized Photons as a Parity Filter in Vector-Meson Photoproduction Experiments

Abstract
We discuss the implications of doing and vector-meson photoproduction experiments with linearly polarized photons. It is shown, among other things, that the diffractive contribution can be separated from the peripheral contribution by appropriate choice of photon polarization angle.
