Abstract
Summary Using the indirect fluorescent antibody (FA) method, the production of antibody to Plasmodium falciparum was demonstrated in eight patients having prior experience with strains of the parasite. The FA endpoints rose rapidly to levels much higher than had been reported for patients who had had no previous experience with P. falciparum. In two patients, the FA response was such that it was possible to differentiate between endpoints to the Colombia and Thailand strains of P. falciparum. Keywords
