Abstract
The development of Lamproderma arcyrionema is traced from the first emergence of the fruiting plasmodium on the surface of a rotten log to the final mautration of the sporangia. The formation of the stalk and capillitium is described and found to follow the pattern typical of members of the Stemonitaceae. The chromosome number is reported to be N= 53 [plus or minus] 2.
