Sporangial Development in Lamproderma arcyrionema

Abstract
The development of Lamproderma arcyrionema is traced from the first emergence of the fruiting plasmodium on the surface of a rotten log to the final mautration of the sporangia. The formation of the stalk and capillitium is described and found to follow the pattern typical of members of the Stemonitaceae.
