To the Editor: The report by McGill and Motto (N Engl J Med 291:278–282, 1974) represents another recognized outbreak of toxic hepatitis due to methylenedianiline.1 Our purpose is to describe still another outbreak associated with exposure to this toxic substance.In the 18-month period before September 1973, six of approximately 300 men who applied epoxy resins as a surface coat for concrete walls at the construction site of a nuclear-powered electric generating plant contracted clinical hepatitis with elevated serum transaminase two days to two weeks after starting work.
