Abstract
Giving proper consideration to space-charge field effects, a kinetic treatment of diffusion-induced nonlinearity in the dielectric constant of Ge has been given. No restriction has been put on the relative concentration of electrons and holes. The steady-state conditions differ considerably from their counterpart in a phenomenological treatment. The nonlinearity in the dielectric constant is maximum when electrons and holes are equal in number. Keywords
