Abstract
The variation of the tracer oxygen diffusion coefficient with composition has been investigated using a modified Monte Carlo method. A model which assumes a distribution of Willis 2 : 2 : 2 defect clusters subject to a short-range defect–defect interaction gives reasonable agreement with available tracer diffusion data at 800°C. Satisfactory agreement with entropy data can also be obtained with the same model provided that a realistic electronic contribution is included. Keywords
