Abstract
A new and less time consuming procedure for the preparation and the handling of polypropylene solutions has been developed. The precision of direct determination of molar mass from SEC/LALLS is satisfactory in the range near the maximum of the distribution function, but at low molar masses one better relies on a conventional calibration function. Molar mass distributions and averages were evaluated on the basis of a combination of SEC/LALLS and calibration with a broad HDPE standard. Keywords
