Abstract
ZnO/Au nanocomposite thin films were fabricated by electrodepositon from an aqueous solution of Zn(NO3)2 and KAuCl4. The composite film contained small particles of Au, the average diameter of which was in the range of 18 to 25 nm. The composite films were transparent and were red due to surface plasmon absorption of small Au particles deposited without subsequent heat treatment. Keywords
