Abstract
We have measured the fraction of mesons originating from meson decays in collisions at . The fraction, for and , not including contributions from flavored hadrons, is . We have determined the cross sections for mesons originating from decays and for directly produced mesons. We have found that direct production is in excess of the prediction of the color singlet model by the same factor found for direct production.
