Abstract
Chiral thiourea 1b catalyzes the highly enantioselective hydrophosphonylation of a wide range of N-benzyl imines. The hydrophosphonylation products are readily deprotected by hydrogenolysis, providing access to free α-amino phosphonic acids in highly enantioenriched form. Keywords
