Abstract
1. Introduction. Throughout this paper we shall take S to be a separately continuous, completely regular and Hausdorff, topological semigroup. We denote by Cb(S) the space of continuous and bounded complex-valued functions on S, and by βS the Stone-Čech compactification of S.Keywords
