Abstract
Physicians combating asthma have under their command an impressive and expanding array of therapeutic armaments. But like their military counterparts, they must understand the diversity of the enemy and be adept at deploying their options while avoiding casualties from “friendly fire.” In this article, Dr Morris examines some of the intricacies of treating this fascinating disease, with emphasis on several current controversies.Keywords
