Porcine Adrenocortical Lipids in Relation to Striated Muscle Characteristics.

Abstract
Summary Large lipid masses were found in zona reticularis of certain porcine animals and it was suggested that they might represent a degenerative change. Correlation coefficients indicated that the zona reticularis lipid masses may be associated with a rapid post-mortem pH decline in muscle and a short post-mortem sarcomere length.
