Abstract
Describes the Scientific Annotation Middleware, a set of components and services that support the creation and use of annotation metadata describing data objects and the semantic relationships among them. It captures aspects of data processing history and the research process and federates the results into a coherent human- and machine-interpretable research record. Keywords
