Low Intrathoracic Parathyroid Adenoma

Abstract
This parathyroid adenoma had been visualized four years earlier on routine chest X-ray, but its nature had not been appreciated at that time. The adenoma was supplied by an anomalous artery arising from the innominate artery just distal to the aortic arch. Both this artery, as well as a large vein which represented almost the entire venous drainage, entered the tumor superiorly, perhaps at its hilum. The tumor was vividly opacified by arteriography performed at operation.
