Abstract
Because current public interest in Marathon Group participation is growing, there is an urgent need for providing legitimate psychologists, psychiatrists, sociologists, family and marriage counselors with training facilities where they can acquire the skills for conducting professional Marathon Groups. Some of the skills involved are outlined in this paper. The destructive effects of “Do it yourself” Marathons as evidenced in the problems encountered by “wild” Marathon Groups are described. Keywords
