Abstract
By application of a flow system ESR-spectra of 17 transient free radicals are observed in solution during redox-polymerization of some monomers. From the discussion of the splitting parameters a model of the steric structure of these free radicals is derived. A simple rule is given which allows the calculation of spin densities of substituted carbon radicals to a high degree of accuracy. In the frame of this work the so called 5+4-line spectrum of polymerization radicals of methacryl derivates is completely explained, also.
