Xe Diffusion in UO2 Single Crystals

Abstract
The release of Xe-133 from UO2 single crystals and UO2 fine particles was investigated in He atmosphere in the temperature range of 600—2400°C. The D value obtained was D (cm2/sec) =3.0 x 10–3 (cm2/sec) exp{ —63,000 (cal/mol) /R T}.
