Abstract
Traditional agriculture of the developing nations is being replaced by modern technology. These changed agroecosystems (typical of modern agriculture) are more vulnerable to damaging pest attacks than those of traditional agriculture. Failure to recognize this fact in international development programs endangers the gains of the “green revolution.”Keywords
