Tc-99m MDP and lndium-111 Chloride Scintigraphy in Skeletal Tuberculosis

Abstract
A case of diffuse osseous tuberculosis with changes on skeletal 99mTc methylene diphosphonate and In-111 chloride scintigraphy is presented. Only 2 other cases of bone scan findings in osseous tuberculosis were reported in the literature; both showed patterns similar to diffuse metastatic disease. The demonstration of corresponding areas of decreased tracer activity on In-111 bone marrow scintigraphy is a finding that has not been previously reported for skeletal tuberculosis.
