Abstract
A formalism is developed to permit the calculation of scattering by high energy electrons. It is shown to reproduce the usual results of the dynamical theory for scattering from a perfect crystal. For a particular model of a distorted crystal an explicit closed form is obtained for the correction due to amorphism. Keywords
