Abstract
Adsorption equilibrium studies of some aromatic organic pollutants in water with some commercially available standard grades of granular activated carbons have been carried out at 35°C. The adsorption equilibrium data for adsorbates such as phenol, aniline, benzoic acid, o−cresol, and p−methoxyphenol on six grades of granular activated carbons were analyzed for their adherence to Freundlich or Langmuir adsorption isotherms, and the results are discussed. Keywords
