Stability and dispersion analysis of Battle-Lemarie-based MRTD schemes

Abstract
The stability and dispersion performance of therecently developed Battle--Lemarie multiresolution time-domainschemes is investigated for different stencil sizes. The contributionof wavelets is enhanced and analytical expressions for themaximum allowable time step are derived. It is observed thatlarger stencils decrease the numerical phase error, making itsignificantly lower than finite-difference time domain for lowand medium discretizations.
