Hospitality managers must have a breadth of knowledge spanning manage ment, psychology, economics, engineering, architecture, accounting, food technology, marketing, and law; they must often be mobile, because ad vancement in most chains entails frequent relocation; long hours and work during evenings, weekends, and holidays are the rule, rather than the excep tion. In light of job requirements like these, are certain personal values charac teristic of hospitality managers?
