Lessons learned from HST/HSP thermal engineering data

Abstract
The Hubble Space Telescope (HST) High Speed Photometer thermal engineering data acquired over its three and one-half year mission provides some insights into the flight thermal environment and long term trends that are not apparent when viewed over short time scales. The flight thermal environment of the HST was less severe than expected, but seems to be warming at a rate between 1.0 and 1.3 degrees C per year.© (1995) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
