Light Filtration During Transillumination of the Neonate: A Method To Reduce Heat Buildup in the Skin

Abstract
Filtration of the light used for transillumination [used for detecting abnormal free air in the chest] of neonates is employed to reduce heat buildup in the skin during transillumination. Clinical and experimental evaluation of the effects of filtration are presented.
