Abstract
Flow in alluvial channels involves a complex interaction between the turbulent fluid motion of the stream, the particulate material being transported and possibly the flow in the porous bed. The fluid turbulence is the main feature of the interaction and it contributes to the entrainment and motion of the particles along the bed of the channel. Keywords
