Abstract
A new antibacterial polyphenol, copalliferol A, has been isolated from four dipterocarp species, Hopea cordifolia, Hopea brevipetiolaris(=Balanocarpus zeylanicus), Shorea stipularis and Vateria copallifera. The latter two species also contained another polyphenol, stemonoporol, which when treated with formic or toluene-para-sulphonic acid is transformed into copalliferol A.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
