Abstract
A series of substituted dihydroxybenzoic acids was prepared and examined for anti-inflammatory activity. The compounds which showed activity were derived from γ-resorcylic acid. The introduction of a halogen atom at positions 3 and 5 and a benzyl or methyl group at position 4 gave marked activity but also increased toxicity. Keywords
